Vanachalu Twin Waterfalls appears in local Coorg travel itineraries, but a waterfall name alone does not establish a public entrance or a maintained visitor trail. Confirm the exact location and current access with someone who knows the site before setting out.
Check the route and permission
Ask for the correct map pin, the approach from the road, walking distance and who manages access. If the route crosses an estate or other private land, obtain permission from the landholder. Do not follow an unmarked path simply because it appears to lead towards the sound of water.
Photographs may show the falls in conditions very different from those during your visit. Avoid assuming that the route is suitable for children, older guests or anyone with limited mobility without checking it first.
Make conditions the deciding factor
- Recheck local advice after rain and respect closures.
- Use a knowledgeable guide where needed.
- Wear suitable footwear and finish the outing in daylight.
- Keep away from wet rocks, steep edges and flowing water.
- Carry water and bring all rubbish back.
If the route, permission or conditions cannot be confirmed, leave this outing for another time. Swimming or walking into the stream should not be assumed to be permitted or safe.
Consider an established visitor stop
